PSF AWARDED RESERCH PROJECT TO AWKUM
The Pakistan Science Foundation has awarded a significant research project titled “Development of Vaccine from the Local Strain against Lumpy Skin Disease Virus Infection” to Dr. Abdul Sajid of the College of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan.

The project focuses on developing an indigenous vaccine using locally circulating strains of the Lumpy Skin Disease virus, aiming to provide an effective and sustainable solution to control the disease in Pakistan’s livestock sector. Lumpy Skin Disease has caused substantial economic losses to farmers in recent years, making vaccine development a national priority.
