One million trees target set for Green Pakistan, says Muhammad Rehman
MARDAN: Young industrialist and member of the Board of Governors of Samsons Group of Industries, Muhammad Rehman, has said that a target of planting one million trees has been set in Pakistan as part of efforts to realise the Green Pakistan vision.
Talking to the media, Mr Rehman said all stakeholders would be brought together to plant as many saplings as possible. He said the government’s initiatives for promoting a Green Pakistan were commendable and his company had also started practical work towards the objective.
He said plantation was the need of the hour to address environmental pollution and the challenges posed by climate change. He urged other companies operating in Pakistan to come forward and play their role in making the national tree-planting mission a success.
Mr Rehman said collective efforts could help make Pakistan greener and ensure a clean and healthy environment for future generations.
