*Mardan Celebrates Independence Day with National Spirit and Fervor*
Mardan: Like other parts of the country, Independence Day was celebrated across Mardan district with national spirit, patriotism and a renewed resolve to promote national unity for the development, prosperity, peace and stability of Pakistan.
The main Independence Day ceremony was held at Pakhtunkhwa House Mardan, where Deputy Commissioner Mardan Wasif Rahman attended as the chief guest.
Additional Deputy Commissioners Aidenwaz Sherani and Jawad Ahmed, Assistant Commissioner Sher Zaman Dogar, officers and officials of the district administration, representatives of various government departments, students and their parents attended the ceremony in large numbers. The national flag was hoisted and a salute was presented to the national flag.
Students presented Hamd, Naat, speeches, tableaux and national songs at the ceremony. The patriotic songs and tableaux presented by the students further highlighted the participants’ love for the motherland and strengthened the spirit of patriotism.
Earlier, during the night between August 13 and 14, people in Mardan’s College Chowk and Swabi’s Aman Chowk, as well as at district and tehsil headquarters in Nowshera and Charsadda, celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm. Waving national flags, the youth expressed their profound love for Pakistan and reaffirmed their resolve to utilize their abilities and energies for the development, prosperity and stability of the country.
The day began with special prayers in mosques across the district for the progress, prosperity, peace, security and stability of Pakistan.
At Independence Day ceremonies, rich tributes were paid to the martyrs and founders of the Pakistan Movement, while the unparalleled sacrifices made for the creation of Pakistan were also remembered.
The speakers said that Pakistan was the result of the historic struggle and immense sacrifices of our forefathers. They expressed the resolve to further promote national unity, solidarity, tolerance and patriotism for the development, prosperity and stability of the country, while ensuring greater opportunities for the younger generation to play an active role in nation-building and the development of Pakistan.
The ceremonies also reaffirmed the commitment that every citizen would perform their responsibilities diligently for a strong, prosperous, peaceful and stable Pakistan, while making national development and prosperity a top priority.
